Apprenticeships

Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program
Have you heard of OYAP? You can earn apprenticeship hours while earning high school credits! It begins with a co-op placement in the trade in Grade 11 or Grade 12. If your co-op employer sees potential, you can be signed on as an apprentice while still in high school, begin working on your hours or skills, and potentially take your Level 1 Theory at college – fully funded!

OYAP allows you to explore and find the right career for you. And if you discover you want to change direction you can, because many skills are transferable. You can jump start your career by counting your co-op/OYAP hours towards your apprenticeship! Visit Student Services or our Co-op Teacher, Mr. Murphy, to learn more!
