Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test
Date(s) - March 27, 2019
9:00 am - 11:30 am
St. John Catholic High School
On Wednesday, March 27th the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test will be written by grade ten students as well as those students who are rewriting the test. Since the successful completion of this test is a diploma requirement, it is critical that all students writing the test are present and on time as missing any portion of the test may affect a student’s opportunity for success.
Students who regularly receive special education accommodations are entitled to access these supports on the day of the test. Information about this was mailed home at the beginning of March.
In order to maintain the integrity of the test across the province, students are not permitted to access their cell phones on the day of the test. In the event of an emergency or that you need to get a message to your son/daughter, call the school and our secretary will relay the message.
If you have questions about the format of the test, special education accommodations on the test or the policies and procedures surrounding the implementation of the test, please call the school and speak with Mrs. Deanne Strong, school principal, or Mrs. Peckham, school literacy coordinator.
