Dual Credits are an excellent opportunity for students in Grade 11 and 12 to have a college learning experience while still in high school. The tuition, books, supplies, and some equipment is funded by the Ministry of Education, so there is no cost to the student to reach ahead into a post-secondary course. There is support for transportation to the campuses. Students work with a guidance counsellor and their classroom teachers or coop supervisor to work out a schedule during the semester.
Information sessions are held in the Library in October and in May to coincide with the application deadlines. A wide variety of course options are provided at that time for each of the Algonquin (Perth and Ottawa) and St. Lawrence College (Kingston and Brockville) campuses in Eastern Ontario.
