Rowan’s Law Day

What
Rowan’s Law Day
When
10/7/2020

Wednesday September 30th was Rowan’s Law Day. It was a special day because we remember Rowan Stringer, a young girl who made the world realize how important it is to know about concussions.
It is important for children and teens to learn and talk about concussions because they have the greatest chance of experiencing one. When you bump your head, it is important to know the signs and symptoms of a concussion so that you can take the right steps to get help for your head. It is also important to know how to lessen the chance of getting a concussion.
Spread the word about concussions by sharing what you learn today at home and with others. In this way, you can help people who play sports or students who play actively with their friends know how to prevent concussions or to SPEAK UP if they do bump their head.
Spartans are encouraged to wear their purple shirts with uniform bottoms in support of Rowan’s Law Day which we will be honouring on October 7th 2020.#ThisIsWhoWeAre
