The stage is set, and excitement is building at St. John Catholic High School as Spartan actors proudly present their spring musical production of Mean Girls Jr. this month. With performances scheduled for May 26th, 27th, and 28th at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day, students, staff, and the wider community are invited to witness the beloved high school comedy reimagined for a younger cast and audience.

This energetic adaptation of Tina Fey’s hit Broadway musical and film blends catchy songs, sharp humour, and important messages about friendship, self-respect, and kindness. Under the direction of the school’s art, music and drama programs and with the support of staff and volunteers, over 20 students have been hard at work transforming the stage into North Shore High.

“We’ve seen so much dedication and talent from our students throughout the rehearsal process,” said the production’s director, Gabrielle McKinnon. “And this year we have Mme Longtin, Mr. Doucette and Ms. Horning working hard to dazzle the audience and compliment the actors’ hard work”

Tickets for the 6:00 pm shows are now available to the public and can be purchased through the school’s website and School Cash Online. No account is necessary for purchase. Seating is limited, and staff are hoping for a full audience. For 12:00 pm seat availability please e-mail [email protected]. A cash canteen and merchandise booth will be set up at each performance as well.
